The Village of Hoffman Estates will remember all of our country's military veterans who fought -- and continue to fight -- valiantly on our behalf. At 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28, please join us at the Veterans' Memorial site located on the grounds of the Police station, 411 W. Higgins Road (at the corner of Higgins Road and Spring Mill Drive), for a special Memorial Day ceremony.
Afterwards, the observance will continue at 10:45 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery at 202 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg, followed by a processional to St. Peter Lutheran Church at 11:25 a.m. Hoffman Estates is jointly hosting this Memorial Day event with the Village of Schaumburg.
At the end of the Memorial Day ceremonies, everyone is invited to enjoy hot dogs and refreshments at Picnic Grove. These events will truly be a tribute to all of our veterans.

Village Hall closed
The Hoffman Estates Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road, will be closed on Saturday, May 26, and Monday, May 28, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
Garbage collection delayed
Garbage, recycling and yard waste collection will be delayed one day in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Monday collection will be on Tuesday, May 29, and Wednesday collection will be on Thursday, May 31.
Electronics recycling postponed
The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) has postponed its Electronics Recycling Drop-off Program on Monday, May 28, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The service will resume on Monday, June 4.
