2017 Street Revitalization Project

The Village is scheduled to begin work on segments of 26 streets this year.  Eight segments will be reconstructed and eighteen others will be resurfaced.  Click below for a list and map of the street segments to be completed as part of the 2017 project.

New!  Project Update - Week of August 21st

Bison Lane:  Installation of level binder asphalt is anticipated to occur at the end of the week.  Please see “Level Binder Course” note under Additional Paving Information listed below regarding Fresh Oil.  Surface asphalt may follow level binder placement at the end of the week.

Caribou Lane:  Installation of level binder asphalt is anticipated to occur at the end of the week.  Please see “Level Binder Course” note under Additional Paving Information listed below regarding Fresh Oil.  Surface asphalt may follow level binder placement at the end of the week.

Chandler Lane:   Asphalt surface course may be placed at the end of the week.  See “Surface Course” note under Additional Pavement Information listed below.  Landscaping work will continue throughout the week.

Falcon Lane:  Installation of level binder asphalt is anticipated to occur at the end of the week.  Please see “Level Binder Course” note under Additional Paving Information listed below regarding Fresh Oil.  Surface asphalt may follow level binder placement at the end of the week.

Firestone Drive:  Concrete removal and replacement work will occur throughout the week.

Forbs Avenue:  Asphalt grinding work will occur by the end of the week.

Lombardy Court:  Fine grading work will occur at the beginning of the week.  Binder course will follow at the end of the week.  See “Binder Course” note under Additional Pavement Information listed below. 

Newcastle Lane (Both Phases):  Asphalt surface course may be placed at the end of the week.  See “Surface Course” note under Additional Pavement Information listed below.  Landscaping work is likely to occur throughout the week.

Portage Lane:  Concrete removal and replacement work will occur throughout the week.

Ridgewood Lane:   Fine grading work will occur at the beginning of the week.  Binder Course will follow at the end of the week.  See “Binder Course” note under Additional Pavement Information listed below. 

Whispering Trails Court:  Fine grading work will occur at the beginning of the week.  Binder Course will follow at the end of the week.  See “Binder Course” note under Additional Pavement Information listed below. 

**Additional Paving Information**
- Binder Course (1st Layer of Asphalt – reconstruction streets only) – Paving signs are placed at the ends of the street on the day prior to asphalt installation.  This layer does not require oil application prior to paving as paving occurs on the stone base.

- Level Binder Course (1st Layer of Asphalt – resurfacing streets only) – Fresh Oil Signs are placed at the ends of the street between 12-24 hours prior to oil application (signs are placed on Friday prior to a Monday morning oil application).  Oil is typically placed in the early morning hours and level binder pavement is placed later that day (all work is weather dependent).  Paving signs are also placed at the ends of the street on the day prior to any asphalt installation.  Any driving on your street after the “Fresh Oil” application will be AT YOUR OWN RISK.  If street access is necessary, driving at less than 10 mph is recommended.  The Village and contractor are NOT responsible for oil on your vehicle when the “Fresh Oil” signs are standing.  This material may track onto your driveway, and/or adhere to your vehicle.

Remember cell phone use is prohibited in construction work zones and as always, please proceed with caution while driving in work zones.
