Northwest Fourth-Fest returns to Sears Centre
The 2017 Northwest Fourth-Fest will include five days of live music, family activities, and much more! Northwest Fourth-Fest kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 30 and runs through Tuesday, July 4. Admission and parking are free! The Village of Hoffman Estates, Hanover Township and the Hoffman Estates Park District sponsor Northwest Fourth-Fest, which will be held outside the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in Hoffman Estates.
The weekend of live music begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30 with ARRA, followed by Infinity at 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, July 1, the band Generation kicks off the evening’s entertainment at 5:30 p.m., followed by Brock and Adams at 7:30 p.m. and Hi Infidelity at 9:30 p.m.
The entertainment continues on Sunday, July 2, with Voyager at 4:30 p.m., The Gingers at 6:30 p.m., and 7th Heaven at 8:30 p.m. 7th Heaven will play a second set on Sunday at 10 p.m., following one of the suburbs’ biggest fireworks displays! FIREWORKS begin at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, and will be visible from anywhere on the festival grounds.
Saturday and Sunday will feature family-friendly activities such as a climbing wall, petting zoo, pony rides sponsored by the Schaumburg Township District Library, face painting, balloon art, water balloon toss, and more. And don’t miss local favorites like Saturday’s Diaper Derby and the Mariano’s-sponsored pie-eating contest! You can also cool off at the annual Arts and Crafts Fair, which will be held inside the Sears Centre Arena from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 2.
The Sears Centre Arena provides traffic control, free parking (9,000 spaces available) and routes in and out of the grounds to provide for a convenient celebration. Northwest Fourth-Fest hours are 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, June 30; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 1; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, July 2; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday, July 3 (carnival only), and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4 (carnival only).
This year’s Hoffman Estates Fourth of July Parade will take place on Hassell Road in Hoffman Estates on Tuesday, July 4, with step-off from the intersection of Hassell and Hilltop at 9 a.m. The parade route terminates at the intersection of Hassell and Huntington, in front of Village Hall.
